California Scorecards on Payment Reform

With funding from The Commonwealth Fund and the California Health Care Foundation, CPR developed the California Scorecard’s on Payment Reform in 2013 and 2014. In 2013, the study revealed that 41.8 percent of health care payments made to doctors and hospitals were “value-oriented”—that is, designed to boost the quality of care patients receive. In 2014, the percent of payments made to doctors and hospitals that were value-oriented jumped to 55.4 percent. To learn more, view the results below and read the methodologies.
